Mumbai (Maharashtra), Nov 24, (ANI): The Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested a woman and solved a kidnapping case of a minor in less than 24 hours.

Mumbai (Maharashtra), Nov 24, (ANI): The Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested a woman and solved a kidnapping case of a minor in less than 24 hours.
The police arrested a woman who allegedly kidnapped a 9-month-old girl during the Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi celebrations near JJ Marg area in Mumbai.
Victim's mother, Nasreen while speaking to ANI said, "We had come to Bhindi Bazaar area to celebrate Eid, the accused was sitting beside me, when the niyash (food offering) was being offered, the accused asked me to take the offering and asked me to hand over my child saying that she will take care of her but as soon as I came back, the accused fled with her."
She further said, "I immediately informed the nearest police station and lodged a missing complaint."
The police informed that after an extensive search and scanning of numerous CCTV cameras and with the help of the locals they got a tip-off about a house where the neighbors heard a baby crying.
"On suspicious grounds, we raided the house and recovered the child," the police said.(ANI)
