Mujgund encounter: Slain terrorists identified as LeT affiliates

Mujgund (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Dec 09 (ANI): The three terrorists, who were neutralised earlier today during an encounter here, have been identified as Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) affiliates.
The three have been identified as Mudasir Rashid Parray, Saqib Bilal Sheikh and Ali. While, Parray and Sheikh are residents of Hajin Bandipora, Ali is a Pakistan national.
A search operation was launched on Saturday, jointly by police and security forces, based on a credible input about the presence of terrorists in Mujgund area on Bandipora Road.
During the joint operation, the search party was fired upon by the hiding terrorists. The fire was retaliated, which lead to a gunfight, leading to the death of the three LeT affiliates and injuring an army jawan, who has been shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter. Police have also registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter. (ANI)
