MP govt lays down procedure for appointment, replacement of Pujaris

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Feb 7 (ANI): The Adhyatm Department on Wednesday decided a procedure for appointment and replacement of pujaris in government managed Dev Sthans.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Feb 7 (ANI): The Adhyatm Department on Wednesday decided a procedure for appointment and replacement of pujaris in government managed Dev Sthans.

Appointments will now be given by complying the fixed procedure and rules in case of vacant posts. Priority will be given to Vansh and Guru-Shishya Parampara in appointments of pujaris and a register of Pujaris will be maintained at tehsil and patwari level.

Nine qualifications for appointment of pujaris have been fixed by the state government for appointments and the criterion for appointment has also been fixed. Besides duties and responsibilities of pujaris, rules have been made in connection of removal and arrangement in case of vacant post.

The rules will be applicable in the appointment of new pujaris only. (ANI)
