Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], December 29 (ANI): A dispute between a customer and a restaurant owner over food in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district escalated again post reaching the police station and created fresh disturbance there, prompting senior police officials to take action against the police personnel as well, an official said on Monday.
The incident occurred near the Pinto Park area under the Gole Ka Mandir police station limits in the district on Sunday night, where the quarrel initiated between the customer group and restaurant owner group led to unrest even inside the police station.
Following the incident inside the station, five police personnel, including police station in-charge have been line attached.
City Superintendent of Police (CSP), Atul Kumar Soni told ANI, "On Sunday, a man identified as Sunny Singh Tomar informed the police that at around 8 pm he along with his friend, Satyam Bhadauriya, reached a restaurant located near pinto park area under the jurisdiction of Gola ka Mandir police station. A dispute erupted there over serving the wrong food. Meanwhile, the restaurant owner hit the customer with the pressure cooker."
The customer sustained head injuries and reached the police station to file a complaint. Acting on the complaint, a case was registered into the matter and began investigation, the officer said.
He further added, "An advocate, Prabhat Kishore Hinariya, who accompanied Satyam Bhadauriya, was involved in a fresh dispute with the restaurant owner, leading to unrest inside the police station. The police station staff intervened and separated both the groups. The advocate side raises allegations on the police over creation of unrest inside the police station."
"Taking cognizance of the allegations, senior officials took action against the concerned police station staff (Police station in-charge and four others) and ordered to line-attach them," the officer said.
Currently, complaints were received only from one side (customer and advocate) and if the other group also submits the complaint, action will be taken in that matter as well, he added. (ANI)
