MP: CM Mohan Yadav pays tribute to soldier Pradeep Patel who lost life in Sikkim road accident

Four Indian Army personnel, including Pradeep Patel, died in a road accident on Thursday, September 5 while commuting from Pedong in West Bengal to Zuluk along the Silk Route in Pakyong District in Sikkim, the Indian army officials said.

Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 7 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Saturday paid tribute to soldier Pradeep Patel who lost his life in the Sikkim road accident, at Khajuraho Airport in Chhatarpur district.
Four Indian Army personnel, including Pradeep Patel, died in a road accident on Thursday, September 5 while commuting from Pedong in West Bengal to Zuluk along the Silk Route in Pakyong District in Sikkim, the Indian army officials said.
Pradeep Patel was a resident of Hardua village in Katni district. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the incident and announced that financial assistance of Rs 1 crore will be given to his parents.
"It is a very sad incident for us but we will always be proud of our security forces. Our soldiers do their duty diligently and play a vital role in safeguarding the nation. On September 5 an accident occurred in which four of our brave soldiers lost their lives, among them, soldier Pradeep Patel is from Hardua village in Katni. I paid tribute to him at Khajuraho airport," CM Yadav said.
"I have expressed grief on behalf of the Madhya Pradesh government and pray to the almighty to give a place to the departed soul at His lotus feet. We all will remember such soldiers throughout our lives. The state government will be giving Rs 1 crore to his parents, we stand by them in this sad moment," the CM added.
According to Indian army officials, those who died were identified as driver Pradeep Patel from Madhya Pradesh, craftsman W Peter from Manipur, Naik Gursev Singh from Haryana and Subedar K Thangapandi from Tamil Nadu.
"All the deceased army personnel, including the driver, belonged to a unit from Binnaguri in West Bengal," the officials stated.
The vehicle skidded off the road approximately 700 to 800 feet down the road at Vertical Veer, near Dalapchand Dara along Rhenock Rongli state highway, popularly known as Silk Route. (ANI)
