Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 10 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Tuesday held a meeting of a Cabinet Committee constituted for the organisation of 'Simhastha 2028' at Mantralaya on Tuesday and discussed in detail about the preparations.
Simhastha is a Hindu religious mela that is held every 12 years in the Ujjain city .
During the meeting, CM Yadav said, "Simhastha is not just related to Ujjain division but Indore division too. A large number of devotees also visit Omkareshwar and Maheshwar. The pilgrims coming here visit this entire region and necessary facilities should be developed accordingly."
"For the convenience of elderly pilgrims, the parking spaces closer to the ghat will be more convenient for them. The campus grounds of various educational institutions and other institutions should also be used for parking. For this, a survey should be done and action should be taken from now on," he added.
CM Yadav also directed the Public Works Department to complete the construction of a four-lane road from KD Gate to Veer Durgadas Chhatri to Gonsa Marg in Ujjain as soon as possible. With the construction of this proposed road, citizens will get the facility to go directly to Gopal Mandir and the main urban area towards Jaora, Badnagar and Kaal Bhairav.
"To promote spiritual tourism, a helipad is also being constructed at Sadaval in Ujjain at present. Passengers coming under the Tirtha Darshan Yojana will be able to reach here easily and get the facility after the construction of this route. It will help in connecting the urban area directly to the helipad," the CM said.
He further directed the PWD that action should be taken in view of the facility to be made available to the general public in future.
Necessary efforts should be made for the development of other rail facilities along with Ujjain Indore Metro, the CM added.
Besides, CM Yadav directed to complete the previously approved departmental works within the time limit. He also gave necessary instructions regarding the renovation of the ghats and beautification of other ghats.
Chief Minister Yadav also directed the departments to work in coordination with the Simhastha 2028 and complete the works within the time limit for the development of necessary facilities. (ANI)
