MP CM Chouhan announces to build new modern building of Govt Hamidia College

Notably, CM Chouhan himself has been a student of this college. He unveiled the statue of Swami Vivekananda at the college campus.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 16 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that a modern and fully-equipped building of Government Hamidia Arts and Commerce College will be constructed and new faculties will be introduced according to students' requirement.
CM Chouhan made the announcement while addressing a program on completion of 75 years of establishment of Govt. Hamidia College on the premises of the college on Wednesday.
He also said that plans for the building site and other activities would be made after consultation. He expressed his commitment to working on students' suggestions coordinating with the Bhopal Collector, Higher Education Department, and related agencies to complete these tasks.
In his address, the Chief Minister said, “Every student has a chance to do something meaningful and significant for the country and society. Those who live for the nation are the winners in true sense.”
Notably, CM Chouhan himself has been a student of this college. He unveiled the statue of Swami Vivekananda at the college campus.
“College is a place where everyone greets each other with affection. This college has given several personalities, including former President of India Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma, former MP CM Late Babulal Gaur, Senior BJP leader late Kailash Sarang, former BJP Rajya Sabha MP late Laxmi Narayan Sharma, former Judge of Supreme court Justice Faizanuddin etc,” he added.
Reiterating inspiring words of Swami Vivekananda, the Chief Minister said that nothing is impossible for a right-thinking person.
Remembering college day friends, Chauhan said that an informal gathering of old students would be organised. He mentioned many former students on the occasion and many of them were present.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the college’s computer lab and library building on the occasion. The library building is part of a World Bank project. (ANI)
