MP cabinet renames ‘Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana’ as ‘Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana’

A proposal to rename the state government run housing scheme on the line of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s ambitious scheme Ladali Bahna Yojana was tabled before the state cabinet meeting held here at CM House in Bhopal. The state cabinet approved the proposal, unanimously. The homeless citizens belonging to all categories will be eligible for the scheme.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], September 9 (ANI): The Madhya Pradesh Government on Saturday changed the name of Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Awas Yojana to Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Awas Yojana.
A proposal to rename the state government run housing scheme on the line of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s ambitious scheme Ladali Bahna Yojana was tabled before the state cabinet meeting held here at CM House in Bhopal. The state cabinet approved the proposal, unanimously. The homeless citizens belonging to all categories will be eligible for the scheme.
Besides, the state cabinet approved other proposals tabled in the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
According to medical education minister Vishwas Sarang, who briefed the cabinet decisions to the media, a proposal to hike monthly honorarium of cooks working in Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana has been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 4000. This will benefit around 2.10 lakh. Similarly, the cabinet also approved doubling the honorarium of the guest teachers.
The honorarium currently received by Class-1 guest teachers has been increased from Rs 9,000 to Rs 18,000. In the same way, honorarium of Class-2 has been increased from Rs 7,000 to Rs 14,000 and honorarium of Class-3 has been increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000.
Notably, CM Chouhan had made an announcement to increase the monthly honorarium of the guest teachers in a ‘Guest Teacher Panchayat’ held in Bhopal, recently.
In compliance with the announcement made by the CM Chouhan on 27 August 2023, a decision has been taken to provide cooking gas for Rs 450 to all women having gas connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and Ladli Bahnas having gas connections under non-PMUY in the month of Shravan (04.07.2023 to 31.08.2023). Subsidy will be payable on refills done in the month of Shravan on gas connections issued in the name of Ladli Bahnas. (ANI)
