MP: BJP leaders, including Kailash Vijayvargiya celebrate Raksha Bandhan at Vridh Ashram in Indore

Vijayvargiya was spotted playing Antakshari with children and elderly persons here and sang songs on the occasion. He also sang bhajans and minister Silawat was seen dancing with the elderly persons at the ashram.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 30 (ANI): Several Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, including BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya and water resources minister Tulsi Ram Silawat celebrated the Raksha Bandhan festival at Vridh Ashram in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore district on Wednesday. 
The Vridh Ashram is located in Pardeshipura locality in the city. The childrens of orphanages in the city, specially-abled childrens and elderly persons of other old age homes in the city were gathered here for the festival.    
Vijayvargiya was spotted playing Antakshari with children and elderly persons here and sang songs on the occasion. He also sang bhajans and minister Silawat was seen dancing with the elderly persons at the ashram. 
Vijayvargiya and Silawat, got rakhi ties from the elderly and children and also gave them gifts.
Speaking on the occasion, Vijayvargiya said, “Since 1983, I have been celebrating Rakhi here like this where childrens of orphanages, specially-abled children and elderly persons of old age homes in the city are brought to celebrate the festival.” 
“We take blessings from the elderly persons and seeing the cheerful faces of the children, I feel the real joy of the festival is here. First I celebrate here and then celebrate the festival at home,” the BJP leader added.  
Earlier, Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended greetings to the women on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan
He said, “I have made a resolution on Raksha Bandhan that I will continue to work night and day for the financial, educational, social, and political empowerment of sisters. It is my life’s mission to increase the respect and security of sisters. I would try my best to ensure that you live a prosperous life with your family.” (ANI)
