MP: 3-mon-long Skydiving fest begins from today in Ujjain; SP Pradeep Sharma takes glimpse from 10,000 feet height

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 9 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board has begun the fourth edition of the Skydiving festival in Ujjain district on Saturday.
Superintendent of Police (SP, Ujjain) Pradeep Sharma enjoyed the view of the city of Mahakal from a height of 10,000 feet as an inaugural dive and shared his thrilling experience.
Adventure lovers will enjoy the experience of the thrill of flying in the sky at Datana Airstrip in Ujjain from 8 am to 5 pm. The Skydiving festival will be continued for three months in the district till February 9. Booking can be done on www.skyhighindia.com.
Joint Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board S K Srivastava said, "The Skydiving festival was inaugurated at Datana Airstrip located on Dewas road in Ujjain on Saturday to promote adventure tourism in the state. Under the festival, people will get a thrilling experience to enjoy the view of the city from the sky for three months."
Ujjain SP Sharma shared his experience with ANI after flying from the height of 10,000 feet saying that it was such a moment that he was unable to put it in words. He also expressed gratitude to CM Mohan Yadav for the skydiving festival being held in Ujjain district.
"I would like to thank the Chief Minister for giving such a gift (referring to the skydiving fest) to Ujjain district. Today, I did skydiving for the first time, which I cannot describe in words. The experience of watching Baba Mahakal ki Nagri Ujjain, its religious places and Shipra Maiyya from the Sky cannot be compiled in words," SP Sharma told ANI.
He further adds that the fear increases with height but when the entire Sky High team makes you jump confidently after reaching the height, then the moment for 5-10 seconds is such an experience which cannot be described in words.
Earlier, Principal Secretary of the Department of Tourism and Culture and Managing Director of the Tourism Board, Shiv Shekhar Shukla informed, "Following the success of three editions of the Skydiving festival and enthusiasm of tourists towards adventure activities, the fourth edition (for three months) is being organised in Ujjain this time. Adventure lovers will be able to experience the thrill of flying in the sky at Datana Airstrip in Ujjain. The time for skydiving will be from 8 am to 5 pm. Booking can be done on www.skyhighindia.com." (ANI)
