Mother of Hyderabadi woman stranded in Qatar seeks Sushma Swaraj's help

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Apr 24 (ANI): The mother of a Hyderabad woman, who is stranded in Qatar after being lured to the Gulf country has appealed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj urging her to rescue her daughter.

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], Apr 24 (ANI): The mother of a Hyderabad woman, who is stranded in Qatar after being lured to the Gulf country has appealed to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj urging her to rescue her daughter.
Tabassum Begum told ANI her daughter Syeda Mariyum was offered job of a nurse in Qatar, she was later employed as household help.
“Mariyum used to work as a nurse in a hospital in Hyderabad. An agent Fatima offered her a nurse job in Qatar at the salary of Rs 40,000 per month. The agent also said that my daughter will come back to Hyderabad from Qatar only in one month. So she agreed and left to Qatar on April 11,” Begum said.
“After landing in Qatar, Mariyum was first kept in an office and she was employed asa  housemaid by her employer. They said that Mariyum should work there for five years as a housemaid. Her employers are not providing adequate food. They are also locking her in a room,” he said.
Begum claimed that she approached the agent to bring back Mariyum who demanded Rs 1.5 lakh in return.
“After I  heard my daughter is struggling in Qatar we approached the local agent who sent my daughter there but she demanded 1.5 lakh to bring back Syeda. Where can we bring that much money? I request External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to rescue my daughter,” she said. (ANI)
