Mother and 3 children die in Nagarkurnool mudslide

The deceased bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examination.

Nagarkurnool (Telangana) [India], July 1 (ANI): On Monday, a mother and her three children died after a mud slab collapsed due to heavy rains in Wanapatla village of the Nagarkurnool district.
The incident occurred at 2 a.m. The bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examination. The case is yet to be registered.
"A mother and her three children died after a mud slab collapsed due to the heavy rains at 2 a.m.," reported Govardhan, Inspector of the Nagarkurnool Police Station.
He further added, "The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the case is yet to be registered."
Earlier, on June 27, one person died, and two others were injured after a car rammed into a school bus while the bus was taking a U-turn on the Kamalpur highway.
The injured were shifted to a local hospital for treatment, police said. The deceased has been identified as Abdullah, a 50-year-old man.
"A car rammed into the school bus while the bus was taking a U-turn on the Kamalpur highway. Thirty students were travelling in the bus during the accident. Two students received injuries, and one person in the car died," the police stated.
The police further added, "The school bus belongs to Ekashila School. The driver, Ratnam, was driving the bus towards Kurnool village and was making a U-turn near the Uma Maheshwara Gardens, Kamalpur, when a Swift Dzire car hit the bus, causing it to overturn."
"The bus was carrying 30 students. Two students sustained injuries. A backseat passenger, Abdullah, 50 years old, died in the incident. A case has been registered," the police said. (ANI)
