Mortal remains of Rifleman who lost his life in Rajouri encounter brought to Kishtwar 

The mortal remains of Rifleman Ravi Kumar, who lost his life in an encounter in Rajouri yesterday were brought to his residence in Kishtwar on Thursday.

Kishtwar (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 14 (ANI): The mortal remains of Rifleman Ravi Kumar, who lost his life in an encounter in Rajouri on Tuesday were brought to his residence in Kishtwar today. 
Earlier on Wednesday a sombre wreath-laying ceremony was held for Army Rifleman Ravi Kumar, who lost his life during an encounter with terrorists at Narla in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Army bid a tearful farewell to the slain jawan on Wednesday.
The Jammu-based White Knight Corps of the Army said in a statement, "White Knight Corps salutes the supreme sacrifice of Rifleman Ravi during OP SUJALIGALA in the highest traditions of the Indian Army. His unwavering dedication and service to our nation will always be remembered."
Two terrorists were killed by security forces during an encounter that began in the Narla area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri on Tuesday. A six-year-old dog (female labrador) laid down her life shielding her handler during the encounter. 
Earlier an Indian Army Colonel commanding a Rashtriya Rifles Unit along with a Major and a Deputy Superintendent of Police were killed in a gunfight with terrorists in the Kokernag area of Kashmir's Anantnag district on Wednesday.
The killed officers have been identified as Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak and DySP Humayun Bhat.
"An Indian Army Colonel commanding a Rashtriya Rifles Unit along with a Major have lost their lives in an encounter in Anantnag with terrorists in Kashmir. The off-vet was commanding 19 RR," Indian Army officials said.
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed his grief over the death of the officers in the encounter. (ANI)
