Mining in Gadchiroli is done in environment-friendly way: Maharashtra Deputy CM Fadnavis

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said that mining activities at Etapalli in the Gadchiroli district of the state are going on very well and new investments worth around 20,000 crores are in the pipeline to be invested in the area, generating more employment.

Gadchiroli (Maharashtra) [India], August 15 (ANI): Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister  Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said that mining activities at Etapalli in the Gadchiroli district of the state are going on very well and new investments worth around Rs 20,000 crores are in the pipeline to be invested in the area, generating more employment.
"The mining activities are going on very well. The first plant is ready and will be inaugurated soon. Another investment worth Rs 20,000 crores is under the pipeline. This will provide huge employment opportunities. While focusing on the development, we don't want to end the culture and traditions of Adivasis but we want to carry them along as their culture has restored the sustainability here."
"Environment-friendly mining is being done here in Etapalli of Gadchiroli, along with mining, steel making will also happen here," The Chief Minister said. 
The Deputy Chief Minister praised the police for containing the Maoist menace in the area. 
"Gadchiroli police did such a good job in area domination that now Maoists are neither getting support nor recruitment in Gadchiroli district. Police are getting people's support, and have done the work of eliminating the top Maoist leaders," Fadnavis said. (ANI)
