Patna (Bihar) [India], August 29 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Deepak Prakash has condemned the viral social media video of an incident during the Opposition's Voter Adhikar Yatra in Dharbhanga district in Bihar, which showed a speaker hurling abuses against Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Slamming Congress, Prakash stated that the people were "mentally sick," and should be admitted to a mental hospital, further stating that their anticipated loss in the upcoming Bihar elections was the reason for using this kind of language against the PM.
"It is very unfortunate that during the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra', Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav abused PM Modi and his mother. This is condemnable...These kinds of people are mentally sick and they have lost the Bihar elections and that's why they are using this kind of language against PM Modi...The public of the nation and Bihar will teach them a lesson..." Prakash told ANI.
Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) National President Upendra Kushwaha stated that a case should be registered against the use of derogatory language.
"...A case should be registered against them for using this kind of derogatory language against PM Modi...The public of Bihar understands everything. It is very sad that the political leaders have stooped so low..." Kushwaha told ANI.
BJP MP Rajiv Pratap Rudy stated that the purported video only exposed the manifestos of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress for the upcoming Bihar elections.
"This is very unfortunate... The way PM Modi was abused from the stage in Darbhanga has exposed the manifestos of RJD and Congress to be released in the coming days..." Rudy told reporters here.
The BJP has also accused Congress of "lowering" the political standards by making such remarks and demanded an apology from both Rahul and Tejashwi. However, Congress has said that the BJP is raising "irrelevant" issues. (ANI)
