MBBS student raped in a hotel in Delhi, threatened by accused

The complaint also said that the accused compelled her to accompany him multiple times and committed repeated acts of sexual assault, intimidation, and harassment

New Delhi [India], October 6 (ANI): An 18-year-old MBBS student was allegedly raped by a 20-year-old man in a hotel in Delhi, and a case has been registered by the police at Adarsh Nagar Police Station.
According to Delhi Police, a complaint was received on Thursday at Adarsh Nagar Police Station from an 18-year-old MBBS student, who is a resident of a town in Haryana and is pursuing her studies in the national capital.
She alleged that the accused, who is a resident of Jind in Haryana, invited her to a hotel in Adarsh Nagar on the pretext of a party, administered intoxicants, and wrongfully confined her and committed sexual assault. The complainant said that the accused was accompanied by his associates. The complaint said the accused forcibly made obscene photos and videos and blackmailed the victim by threatening to make them viral.
The complaint also said that the accused compelled her to accompany him multiple times and committed repeated acts of sexual assault, intimidation, and harassment.
A case has been filed under various sections of Bharatiya Nyay Samhita.
In another incident, a 24-year-old woman was allegedly stabbed by her husband during an argument in northeast Delhi's Brahmpuri area on Friday afternoon. This incident occurred when the woman's husband, 23, called her to meet, and a dispute escalated, leading to the stabbing. The victim, who had been living with her parents due to ongoing marital issues, sustained injuries and was rushed to JPC Hospital.
Later, the forensic team collected evidence from the crime scene. A case under Sections 109 BNS and 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS New Usmanpur. The accused has been arrested, and the weapon of offence, a knife, was also recovered. (ANI)
