"May this divine festival infuse new energy, positivity, and prosperity": Rajnath Singh extends Diwali greetings

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday extended greetings to all the citizens on the occasion of Diwali, wishing for new energy, positivity, and prosperity in everyone's lives.

New Delhi [India], October 20 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday extended greetings to all the citizens on the occasion of Diwali, wishing for new energy, positivity, and prosperity in everyone's lives.
In a post on X, Rajnath Singh said, "Heartfelt Diwali greetings to all fellow countrymen on this sacred festival of light and joy. May this divine festival of lights infuse new energy, positivity, and prosperity into our lives--that is my prayer to God. With the blessings of Mother Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, may the lamp of peace, unity, and continuous progress forever shine bright in the country. Happy Diwali!"
Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also extended greetings as he said that the festival of lights must be celebrated with mutual harmony, goodwill, and joy.
"Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the festival of lights, Deepawali. Deepawali is a symbol of the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. Celebrate it with mutual harmony, goodwill, and joy. May Deepawali bring happiness, peace, and prosperity to the state," Kumar posted on X.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday morning offered prayers at Ram Janambhoomi temple in Ayodhya on the occasion of Diwali.
The Chief Minister also visited the Hanuman Garhi temple here to offer prayers.
Diwali is a five-day festival that starts on Dhanteras. On Dhanteras, people buy jewellery or utensils and worship God. The second day is called Naraka Chaturdashi. It is also called Chhoti Diwali or Small Diwali.
The third day of Diwali is the main day of the celebrations. People worship Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on this day and offer prayers to bless them with wealth and prosperity.
The fourth day of Diwali is devoted to Govardhan Puja. The fifth day is called Bhai Dooj. On this day, sisters pray for their brothers to have long and happy lives by performing the Tika ceremony, and brothers give gifts to their sisters. (ANI)
