"May the lamp of happiness and prosperity be lit in everyone's life": Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai extends Diwali greetings

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 20 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday extended warm Diwali greetings to the people of the state, wishing them happiness, prosperity, and divine blessings on the occasion of the festival of lights.
In his festive message shared on X, Chhattisgarh CM said, "Heartfelt Diwali greetings to all the residents of the state."
CM Sai invoked the blessings of deities, adding, "May the blessings of Lord Shri Ganesha, Goddess Lakshmi, and Goddess Saraswati remain upon everyone. May the lamp of happiness and prosperity be lit in everyone's life--this is the auspicious wish."


Earlier today, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also extended greetings to all the citizens on the occasion of Diwali. The Rajasthan CM wished for happiness, prosperity, and well-being for all the people.
"Heartfelt Diwali greetings to all the residents of the state on this festival symbolising the victory of righteousness over evil! May the boundless grace of Lord Shri Ram, the embodiment of compassion, and Mother Janaki bring happiness, prosperity, and well-being to all your lives. May this festival of lights also spread peace, prosperity, and positive energy throughout the state. This is my heartfelt wish," he said in a post on X.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended Diwali wishes to the people of India.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Greetings on the occasion of Diwali. May this festival of lights illuminate our lives with harmony, happiness and prosperity. May the spirit of positivity prevail all around us."
The Prime Minister also urged Indian consumers to buy domestically made "Swadeshi" products during the festival, encouraging the purchase of Indian-made products and supporting local artisans.
"Let's mark this festive season by celebrating the hard work, creativity and innovation of 140 crore Indians. Let's buy Indian products and say--Garv Se Kaho Yeh Swadeshi Hai! Do also share what you bought on social media. This way you will inspire others to also do the same," wrote PM Modi on X.
President Droupadi Murmu, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, and others also extended their heartfelt Diwali greetings to the nation.
Diwali is a five-day festival that starts on Dhanteras. On Dhanteras, people buy jewellery or utensils and worship God. The second day is called Naraka Chaturdashi. It is also called Chhoti Diwali or Small Diwali.
The third day of Diwali is the main day of the celebrations. People worship Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi on this day and offer prayers to bless them with wealth and prosperity. The fourth day of Diwali is devoted to Govardhan Puja. The fifth day is called Bhai Dooj. On this day, sisters pray for their brothers to have long and happy lives by performing the Tika ceremony, and brothers give gifts to their sisters. (ANI)
