New Delhi [India], September 7 (ANI): Union Minster Arjun Munda on Thursday praised the upcoming G20 Summit and said that it is a matter of pride and inspiration for the nation.
Arjun Munda told ANI, “This is a matter of pride and inspiration for the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi always said that we have to make India the third-largest economic power and in the upcoming days we will be the third-largest economy in the world. Through the G20 summit, we are attracting the world's attention. We are telling the world how the Prime Minister along with the people of India is taking the nation forward.”
The G20 Leaders' Summit is scheduled to be held from September 9-10. The summit is being attended by more than 30 heads of state and top officials from the European Union and invited guest countries and 14 heads of international organisations.
“The whole country is proud, this event will inspire for the days to come, how we can work together for the country,” Arjun Munda added.
Further speaking on the ‘Sanatana Dharma’ row in the country, Arjun Munda said that what can be more unfortunate than people who challenge their very existence?
“What can be more unfortunate if people challenge their own existence? Sanatan is all pervasive and should be seen within the boundaries of life and existence, not within the boundaries of religion. The whole country should feel proud of it,” Munda said.
Udhayanidhi Stalin's remarks on 'Sanatana Dharma' sparked massive controversy across the nation.
Earlier in the day, Udhyanidhi released a statement clarifying his statements on 'Sanatana Dharma' and questioned the BJP leaders for twisting his speech as 'inciting genocide' and said that they are using it as a weapon to protect themselves.
On September 2, speaking at a public event, Stalin called for the 'eradication' of Sanatana Dharma and compared the same with diseases like dengue, malaria etc. (ANI)
