Mathura: Hearing in Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah case to be held on January 25
Hindu Sena Yadav had claimed in the court that the Idgah was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb by demolishing the temple on 13.37 acres of land of Lord Krishna's birthplace.
Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) [India], January 20 (ANI): The Mathura court will hear the Amin survey case in the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Masjid dispute matter on January 25.
The court of Additional Civil Judge Senior Division III was hearing the Amin Commission survey case on Friday and listed the matter for further hearing on January 25. During the hearing, both parties presented their arguments in court.
Muslim side counsel Advocate Neeraj Sharma said, "We sought for due time to present our side. We moved the application to recall the order on the petition of the Amin Commission. The court did not issue the order on Amin Commission yet and directed to maintain the status quo. So, Amin Commission will not visit the site till the hearing is done and our objection is not filed. The next hearing will be on January 25."
Earlier, the Muslim party had objected to the survey of Shahi Idgah by Amin Commission.
Meanwhile, Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta alleged that advocates of Idgah Masjid were spreading false news in newspapers that Mathura court has stayed the Amin survey report.
"This is a wrong fact. No stay has been imposed on the report of the Amin survey. Stay can only be imposed by the High Court. How can a court stop its own order? We are continuously demanding the court issue a writ to Amin Commission so that the court's order can be complied with," Gupta said.
In December last year, the court issued an order to conduct a survey at the disputed site. The court issued notices to all parties, saying they had been asked to comply with the court's order.
On December 8, Hindu Sena president Vishnu Gupta and vice president Surjit Singh Yadav claimed in the court that the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb constructed the Idgah by demolishing the temple on 13.37 acres of land of Lord Krishna's birthplace.
The petition also challenged the agreement made in the year 1968 between Shri Krishna Janmasthan Seva Sangh vs Shahi Masjid Idgah. (ANI)
