Imphal(Manipur),[India] Nov.06 (ANI): The delegates of Innovative Artiste Welfare Association (IAWA) on Monday organised a peace rally in Manipur under the theme "Lets' voice together to end domestic violence and child abuse".

Imphal(Manipur),[India] Nov.06 (ANI): The delegates of Innovative Artiste Welfare Association (IAWA) on Monday organised a peace rally in Manipur under the theme "Lets' voice together to end domestic violence and child abuse".

The main objective of the peace rally was to raise awareness about domestic violence and child labour and to promote women empowerment in the state.

The rally started at 01.35 pm from the Western gate of Kangla and concluded at the Khwaibrahmpur near Cheirap court.

Six contingents along with few handful of supporters participated in the rally.

The event was conducted by the IAWA India, Manipur under the aegis of Raj and BK Manipur Associate and Amar Cine Production, Mumbai.

A total number of six delegates were selected to represent Manipur for the upcoming grand finale of the IAWA India 2017 to be held on December 4 and 9 in Mumbai.

Among the selected for unmarried category were Archana Konsam (Miss IAWA India Imphal East), Naorem Tony Meitei (Mr. IAWA India Imphal East) and for married category are Adaphro Sylvia (Mrs. IAWA Imphal West) HomenMangshatabam (Mr. IAWA Imphal East) ThangbaikialianGuite (Mr. IAWA Churachandpur) and Ashakiran Konsam (Mrs. IAWA Imphal East).

The delegates are also looking for sponsors who could offer some financial assistance for the upcoming grand finale at Mumbai. (ANI)
