Thoubal (Manipur) [India], June 15 (ANI): Expressing his happiness after achieving the first rank in the NEET-UG 2025 examination in Manipur by scoring 99.82 percentile, Erwin Khundrakpam highlighted that he was expecting such a result as it was his worst exam of the year.
Khundrakpam said that he wanted to become an engineer in the first instance, but later his father explained the importance of becoming a doctor. The latter said that he gave his first NEET attempt in 2023, and his class 11th results were not good due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"I had no idea this would happen, as this was the worst exam I had all year. I was not expecting this at all. I initially wanted to become an engineer, but my father explained the importance of becoming a doctor, so I gave my first attempt in 2023. My Class 11 results weren't good because of COVID, so I wasn't well prepared back then. This year, I tried my best and worked hard", Erwin Khundrakpam told ANI on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Krishang Joshi secured All India Rank 3 in the NEET UG 2025 examination, entering the top ranks of one of India's toughest medical entrance tests.
Krishang, originally from Uttarakhand, took the NEET UG exam from Maharashtra and brought pride to his family and state with this remarkable achievement.
While speaking to ANI about his success, Krishang said, "Since class ten, my ambition has been to become a doctor, because as my parents say, it is a very noble profession, you can work independently and serve society."
