New Delhi [India], March 12 (ANI): Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Tuesday that his party has started the process of making draft rules for the Minimum Support Price (MSP) that will be implemented, once they come to power.
Addressing a press conference in Delhi today, Mallikarjun Kharge said, "The guarantee is for MSP (minimum support price). We announced MSP for farmers. We are also making a law to ensure MSP guarantees for their crops, we will legalise it. This is also our guarantee."
Mallikarjun Kharge, talking about the Bhagidari Nyay guarantee,' said that it involves a nationwide survey to tackle social inequalities.
"For the 'Bhagidari Nyay guarantee', the Congress party pledges to conduct a national-level survey based on this guarantee, addressing social inequalities. We have introduced this for those whose rights have been denied, providing a fresh commitment," Mallikarjun Kharge said.
Addressing the critical issue of unemployment, Mallikarjun Kharge said that, the 'Yuva Nyay guarantee' is a dedicated promise to the youth.
"The Yuva Nyay Guarantee is a new promise for the youth, specifically addressing the unprecedented levels of unemployment. The government's attempts to solve this issue have been inadequate, and our commitment is to fill the vacancies promptly after coming into power. This assurance is particularly aimed at youth struggling with joblessness," Mallikarjun Kharge said.
Keeping a specific focus on skill development and apprenticeships, Kharge said, "Additionally, there has been a neglect of skill development and apprenticeships in many places. The apprenticeship program, which used to be a standard in every industry in 1961, included stipends. Unfortunately, the neglect of institutions like GTTc has led to a decline in apprenticeship opportunities. We commit to strengthening Gttc, investing a minimum of one lakh rupees for one year of training in industries, and ensuring a secure first job for the youth under our new guarantee."
Kharge further said that, "we have recently announced a guarantee in Nandurbar (Maharashtra) focusing on the Adivasi community. Rahul Gandhi made this announcement during a public meeting, assuring Adivasis protection from displacement and providing them with their due rights. Our commitment involves governance and empowerment for the Adivasis."
In response to the environmental challenges, Mallikarjun Kharge addressed the inadequacies in forest conservation under the Modi government's leadership.
"Conservation of forests is falling short in various regions under the leadership of the Modi government, leading to reduced rainfall and displacement of those residing in the forests. To address this, our primary focus will be on safeguarding water, forests, and land, ensuring comprehensive protection," Mallikarjun Kharge said. (ANI)
