Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], August 1 (ANI): Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule claimed that the Mahayuti government will be formed in Maharashtra after the Assembly elections.
Bawankule said, "The day Uddhav Thackeray associated with the Congress, everyone left him. His party used to win 18 seats in the Lok Sabha when he was with BJP. Uddhav Thackeray, along with Congress, has lied to the people. He tried to malign the image of PM Modi. INDIA bloc said that if PM Modi came, he would change the constitution, rob the rights of Adivasis and misguide the people. Mahayuti government will be formed in Maharashtra."
He further stated that people of the state are with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"Congress party leaders misled the women in the state and asked them to vote for them and they would start giving Rs 8,500. Now these people have disappeared. We will conduct district meeting and tell the truth to the people. We will convince the people and form a double-engine government in the state to serve 14 crore people," he added.
The Lok Sabha polls 2024 have given a boost to the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance, with the Shiv Sena (UBT) winning seven seats, the Congress 13, and the NCP-SP one, taking the total tally of the alliance 17.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dipped to nine seats in Maharashtra against 23 in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. The vote share stood at 26.18 per cent. (ANI)
