Maharashtra: Man crushed to death after bike hits pothole

Kalyan (Maharashtra) [India], Jul 13 (ANI): A man in Maharashtra's Kalyan on Friday was crushed to death by a truck after he fell off his scooter that tripped on a pothole.

Kalyan (Maharashtra) [India], Jul 13 (ANI): A man in Maharashtra's Kalyan on Friday was crushed to death by a truck after he fell off his scooter that tripped on a pothole.
Kalpesh Jadhav, 26, was in Kalyan for some work and was heading back home when he met with the accident on Gandhare bridge.
Following the accident, a local told ANI, due to bad condition of roads five people have lost their lives ever since the onset of the monsoon.
"Five people have died so far due to potholes in Kalyan. Municipal Corporation will not fill the potholes until an important person dies due to them," said a local.
After the accident the officials of Khadakpada police station have started filling the potholes with sand, pebbles and brick pieces.
"The incident took place earlier in the day. We are investigating the matter," said senior police, Balasaheb Kadam. (ANI)
