Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 26 (ANI): Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday slammed the Opposition and said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra is strong and rejected any suggestions regarding President's rule in the state.
Taking to Twitter, Raut informed that NCP chief Sharad Pawar and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray met at Matoshree on Monday evening.
"The two leaders had an hour-and-a-half-long discussion. If anyone is spreading news about the stability of the government, it should be considered as a stomach ache. The government is strong. No worries. Jai Maharashtra," Raut said.
While targeting the Opposition, Raut in another post said that "Corona's vaccine and the dose of toppling the Thackeray government by the Opposition is yet to be found."
"It would be right for the opposition to quarantine immediately," he stated.
Later while speaking to media, Raut said, "If prominent leaders like Pawar and Uddhav sit and hold talks when state and country are going through difficult times, then, no one should be troubled. I have not heard any talk of it (President's Rule) from Amit Shah or (Nitin) Gadkari, so how do I believe anything?"
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, there are 52,667 COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, including 15,786 cured/discharged/migrated and 1,695 deaths. (ANI)
