Madhya Pradesh: Women tie Rakhi to CM Mohan Yadav at CM house

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in 'Rani Durgavati Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan' and Rakshabandhan Program organised at CM house in Bhopal on Friday.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 9 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in 'Rani Durgavati Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan' and Rakshabandhan Program organised at CM house in Bhopal on Friday.

On the occasion, women tied Rakhi to CM Mohan Yadav and after tying the Rakhi, women offered sweets to CM Yadav. The CM was also seen offering sweets to women.
"I am happy that we celebrated Raksha Bandhan in the month of Savan, following the tradition that we started (celebrating all the festivals together). It was quite good that women sarpanches across the state attended the program and a brother received the love of so many sisters. I assure them to give every possible support to them on behalf of the state government," CM Yadav told reporters after the event.
In the direction of women empowerment, an additional Rs 250 will be transferred to women along with the monthly aid of Rs 1250 to 'Ladli Behnas' in view of Raksha Bandhan through a single click on August 10. The program will be celebrated at around 25,000 places across the state, the CM said.
In a post on X, CM Yadav wrote, "Today, I participated in 'Rani Durgavati Mahila Sarpanch Sammelan and Rakshabandhan and Shravan Utsav Program' at my residence in the state capital Bhopal. On this occasion, I am extremely overwhelmed by the blessings I received from the sisters with auspicious songs and flower showers."
"Sisters who came from far-flung areas participated in the program and also tied Raksha Bandhan on my wrist during the program. I also promise them to make every possible effort for their welfare and happiness," CM wrote.
Several ministers of the state cabinet and other dignitaries were also present in the program. (ANI)
