Madhya Pradesh pledges Rs 40 crore aid to Kerala, Tripura amid natural disasters

"We have our sympathies for the people affected by the disaster and the Madhya Pradesh government is with both the states in this hour of crisis. We pray to Lord Krishna to overcome the crisis as soon as possible," CM Yadav told reporters at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium in Bhopal on Monday.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], August 26 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced on Monday that financial assistance of Rs 20 crore each would be provided to the states of Kerala and Tripura, both of which are currently facing natural calamities.
"We extend our sympathies to those affected by these disasters, and the Madhya Pradesh government stands with both states during this difficult time. We pray to Lord Krishna for a swift recovery from this crisis," CM Yadav told reporters at the Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium in Bhopal on Monday.
"Several states across the country, including Madhya Pradesh, have been impacted by heavy rains, floods, and landslides. In recent days, there have been severe natural disasters in Tripura and Kerala, and it is deeply saddening that many lives have been lost," CM Yadav expressed.
Additionally, in a post on X, CM Yadav wrote, "Various states across the country, including Madhya Pradesh, are affected by heavy rains, floods, and landslides. Recently, the states of Tripura and Kerala have experienced severe natural disasters, leading to significant loss of life and property, which is very distressing. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, I have decided, on behalf of the Madhya Pradesh government, to allocate Rs 20 crore each to the state governments of Tripura and Kerala to provide relief in this severe disaster."
"In this hour of crisis, the Madhya Pradesh government stands in solidarity with both states. My sympathies are with those affected by these disasters. I pray to Lord Shri Krishna for a quick resolution of this crisis," he added.
Earlier in the day, CM Mohan Yadav extended his greetings on the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami and performed 'Gau-Seva' to mark the occasion at the cow shed located within the CM's residence in Bhopal.
CM Yadav told ANI, "On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, I extend my greetings to the people of our state and the entire nation. May this Janmashtami, celebrated on auspicious dates, bring joy to all our lives... The entire life of Lord Krishna serves as an example for us. We should not fear anyone in life, always follow the path of righteousness, be brave, and be kind." (ANI)
