Kolkata (West Bengal) [India], September 20 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav participated in the 'Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in Madhya Pradesh' organised in Kolkata and had a detailed discussion on industrial expansion with industrialists, investors and representatives of business organisations on Friday.
After the session, CM Yadav spoke to ANI and said that there was a lot of potential for industries in all the sectors, be it heavy industries, MSME, cottage industries, food industries, tourism or mining in the state.
"Madhya Pradesh has a lot of potential for industries in all the sectors, be it heavy industries, MSME, cottage industries, food industries, tourism or mining. I came to Kolkata with the same motive and Investors here have shown their interest to a large extent. I am happy that our visit is successful," CM Yadav said.
When questioned about steps taken by the state government for innovation and sustainable development to promote investment, the chief minister said that they welcome everyone in the state and wanted industries to be set up in MP.
"We are welcoming everyone. The state government has made different types of policies and any investor wishes to invest out of the policy, that is why I am here. If a change in the policy is required, then we will make changes through the cabinet. We want that industry to be set up and it should be promoted," he added.
When asked whether satisfied by the previous interactive sessions, the chief minister said that he was satisfied with investors in West Bengal. Yadav said that the response he received in Kolkata states that investors have faith in Madhya Pradesh.
Further talking about the steps taken by the MP government to promote investment in the state, CM said, "Our government is providing electricity, water, roadsand land at a lower rate. The government only knows that if an investor is investing in the state, then the state government wants to give the guarantee of its investment as well as its business."
Highlighting the connectivity and means of transportation, CM said, "Our connectivity, be it road, air or railway - all are good. Also, we are in the centre of the country, which will help the supply of production across the country and the globe."
"If an industry is good, then land policy has no concern; we will help it. All we want is that industry should be set up in the state," he added.
Many investors from Bengal have been working in MP for the last three or four years and even today a lot of people are showing their interest. So, the state of everyone's possibility is Madhya Pradesh, CM said.
Speaking about the law and order situation for the industrialists and labourers, CM said that Madhya Pradesh is very peaceful and there haven't been any labour problems in any industry in the state in the last 3-4 decades.
