Madhya Pradesh: 10-year-old girl raped, body found in biogas tank

Katni (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Mar 4 (ANI): A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed by her uncle in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh and the body was found dumped in a biogas tank, the police said.

Katni (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Mar 4 (ANI): A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped and killed by her uncle in Katni district of Madhya Pradesh and the body was found dumped in a biogas tank, the police said.
The girl was missing since February 28 and her dead body was recovered from the tank located in Barhi area on March 2.
According to police officials, a police complaint was lodged after the girl was reported missing. During investigations, it was found that her uncle Sukhbadan had allegedly raped and killed the minor. The accused had also dumped her dead body in the biogas tank.
Superintendent of Police, Katni Himadri Khanna, said: "The child’s uncle is accused of her death. A case has been registered under sections 376, 302 and Prevention of Children from Sexual Abuses (POCSO) Act."
Sukhbadan has been arrested, police said. (ANI)
