Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Mar 23 (ANI):  An FIR has been lodged against a senior BJP leader and others on Saturday for allegedly burning posters of BSP Mayawati and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav during ‘Holika Dahan’ on Wednesday..
The FIR was lodged on Friday night after SP Member Legislative Council, Barabanki Rajesh Yadav filed a complaint alleging that BJP’s senior leader Rambabu Dwivedi along with a few others burnt posters of Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav and hurled abuses against the two leaders.
“This is the mentality of BJP. These are the same people who called SP-BSP alliance as ‘snake and mole rat’. BJP is the biggest casteist party,” Akhilesh Yadav told ANI.
He had earlier posted on his official twitter handle in Hindi: “The message of this 'Holika Dahan' of Barabanki is clear: Dalit and backward society will be crushed in the BJP era as it has been for centuries."
In the last five years, the humiliation and injustice faced by underprivileged and the backward classes has crossed every limit. Now the BJP will soon see the anger and resentment of bereaved sections.”
