"Loud expression against attempts to damage Constitution...": Randeep Surjewala on Kharge-Rahul Gandhi rally in Indore's Mhow

"Today, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge roared and raised their voice in the favour of unprivileged, Dalits, backward classes and exploited ones from the historic land of Mhow. It is not only a voice against the insult hurled at Babasaheb Ambedkar by Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the parliament, but also a loud expression against the attempts to damage the Constitution, snatch the rights of backward classes, dalits and against all the conspiracies. The echo of this expression will spread across the country from Mhow," Surjewala said.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], January 27 (ANI): Reacting to Congress' Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan' rally held at the birthplace of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in Indore's Mhow on Monday, Congress MP Randeep Singh Surjewala said Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi raised their voices in the favour of unprivileged, Dalits, and exploited ones from Mhow.
Meanwhile, the Congress leader also hit back on Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's post, about advising Kharge and Gandhi to apologise before Babasaheb's memorial and accusing the Congress party of consistently insulting Ambedkar and failing to honour his legacy during their rule in Madhya Pradesh.
"If there is any biggest gambler in India, then he is Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Leave his words, his own party has rejected him. No one asks about him here (in Madhya Pradesh), he is trying to be relevant," he added.
Earlier in the day, in a post on X, Chouhan wrote, "Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, you both are coming to Mhow today; do visit the grand memorial at the birthplace of Bharat Ratna Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in Mhow, which has been built by the Bharatiya Janata Party government. Along with this, also apologise by closing your eyes in front of Baba Saheb's memorial because you and your party always insulted Baba Saheb. After independence, Congress governments ruled Madhya Pradesh for decades but Congress neither held any event at his birthplace nor thought about building a memorial."
The Union Minister also claimed that the Congress party had stopped the construction of the memorial when they came to power, but the BJP government completed it when they returned to office.
"When the Bharatiya Janata Party government was formed in Madhya Pradesh, the then Chief Minister Late Sundar Lal Patwa ji performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the memorial in Mhow. After that, the Congress government came to power and the work was stopped there. Then again the BJP government came and I became the Chief Minister, then we built a divine and grand memorial in honour of Baba Saheb," he further wrote.

Besides, Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu expressed pleasure over participating in the Congress' rally and called it a great event.
"It was a great event today - this is the birthplace of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar where a rally was organised. The event began with the slogan 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan,'" Sukhu told ANI. (ANI)
