Lost phone used to make death threat call to Shahrukh Khan, police registers case

On the death threat call received to Actor Shahrukh Khan, the CSP Civil Lines Ajay Kumar said that the case has been registered at Bandra Police Station and no arrest has been made yet.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 7 (ANI): Regarding the death threat call received by actor Shah Rukh Khan, the Civil Lines City SP (CSP) of Raipur Police, Ajay Kumar, stated that a case has been registered at Bandra Police Station, though no arrests have been made yet.
Kumar explained that the threat call was made from a phone belonging to Mohammad Faizan Khan, whose device had reportedly been lost on November 2. The call was made on November 5 by an unidentified individual using his phone.
"Today, Mumbai Police visited Pandri Police Station to inform us that a crime had been registered at Bandra Police Station, in which Shah Rukh Khan was threatened, and a demand for money was made. Mumbai Police issued a notice to the accused. As of now, there is no information about any arrests. The individual identified is Mohammad Faizan Khan, an advocate, who had reported his phone missing on November 2. The threat call was made to Bandra Police Station on November 5. We will continue our investigation in coordination with Mumbai Police," he said.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have served a notice to Mohammad Faizan Khan in connection with the threat case involving Shah Rukh Khan.
Faizan Khan reported that his phone was stolen, and he had filed a complaint regarding the theft. He mentioned that the police questioned him for 1-2 hours and summoned him again for further questioning on November 14.
"My phone was stolen on November 2, and I lodged a complaint at the police station. On November 5, someone used it to threaten Shah Rukh Khan. Mumbai Police came to Raipur to question me. They questioned me for 1-2 hours, took my statement, and have asked me to appear in Mumbai on November 14," he said.
According to Mumbai Police, a caller contacted Bandra Police Station demanding 50 lakh rupees, threatening to kill the cine star if the demand was not met. The caller stated he would kill Shah Rukh Khan, who lives in Bandstand, Bandra, and reportedly told police his identity was irrelevant.
The Mumbai Police have traced the call to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Their team has since travelled to Chhattisgarh to continue the investigation.
Previously, on November 5, Mumbai Police had received a threatening message targeting actor Salman Khan, allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat gave the actor an ultimatum: either apologise or pay Rs 5 crore to ensure his safety. (ANI)
