"Loss of young, innocent lives beyond words": Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expresses grief over Rajasthan school roof collapse

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday paid condolences to the families of the deceased in the tragic roof collapse at a school in Rajasthan's Jhalawar.

New Delhi [India], July 25 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday paid condolences to the families of the deceased in the tragic roof collapse at a school in Rajasthan's Jhalawar.
Rajnath Singh also offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured.
Sharing an X post, the Defence Minister wrote, "Saddened by the tragic accident at a school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The loss of young, innocent lives is beyond words. My deepest condolences to the grieving families. Praying for the swift recovery of the injured."

Earlier today, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock and grief over the tragic roof collapse.
President Murmu, in a message, also wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
In a social media post on X, the President wrote, "The news of the collapse of a school roof in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, resulting in the death and injury of several students, is extremely tragic. I pray that God grants strength to the grieving families to bear this pain. I wish for the speedy recovery of the students injured in this accident."
PM Modi referred to the mishap as "tragic and deeply saddening", and said that his prayers are with the recovery of those injured.
In a social media post on X, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) wrote, "The mishap at a school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, is tragic and deeply saddening. My thoughts are with the affected students and their families in this difficult hour. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured. Authorities are providing all possible assistance to those affected."
At least seven students died and several were injured after the Jhalawar Primary School roof collapsed on Friday, said the Rajasthan Education Department.
Jhalawar Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Budania and the District Collector rushed to the site following the incident. (ANI)
