Imphal (Manipur) [India], July 16 (ANI): The Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting was held at the Sainik School Imphal in Manipur on July 16 ,2024.
The meeting was chaired by Maj Gen SS Kartikeya, SM, General Officer Commanding, Red Sheild Division of the Indian Army based at Leimakhong. GOC is also the chairman of LBA, Sainik School Imphal, Priya Kartikeya, Chairperson, Family Welfare Organisation, Red Shield Division visited the school to grace the occasion.

Officiating Principal Lt Col SK Singh, presented a comprehensive brief regarding the recent achievements and infrastructure development of the institution. He expressed his gratitude for invaluable support of LBA Chairman and of Army at all times.
The chairman addressed the cadets at the Vikram Batra Auditorium, where he motivated over 500 cadets, including 39 girl cadets, by sharing an insight about the glorious history and role of the Indian Army in the national security.

He also shared his vast experience of serving along the length and breadth of the country. The chairman felicitated the outstanding teachers and administrative staff of the school for their dedicated efforts towards nurturing young minds and future generation. Their contributions and commitment towards the overall development of the school has been invaluable.
Priya Kartikeya, an eminent career educationist with a vast experience in the field of teaching at the most reputable colleges of the country, visited the Girls' Hostel and interacted with the girl cadets and teachers.
The school has a healthy strength of 40 girl cadets. During the interaction she emphasised upon the overall development and importance of a career for the women. She also visited the Sainik Foundation School located within the Sainik School premises, wherein she planted a tree along with the children to promote the importance of the environment and keeping the surroundings serene.
The officiating principal and staff of Sainik School Imphal expressed their heartfelt appreciation to General and educationist Kartikeya for their guidance, support and encouragement to the school in achieving the honorous task bestowed upon it. (ANI)
