New Delhi [India], December 18 (ANI): An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 struck Leh, Ladakh late at night on Tuesday, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
According to details shared by the NCS on X, the earthquake occurred at 11:25 pm IST, at a shallow depth of approximately 10 kilometres.
The tremor was recorded at a latitude of 32.74 degrees North and a longitude of 78.98 degrees East, with its epicentre located in Leh, Ladakh.
"EQ of M: 3.4, On: 17/12/2025 23:25:23 IST, Lat: 32.74 N, Long: 78.98 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Leh, Ladakh," the NCS said in its post.

Earlier, an earthquake of magnitude 4.8 struck Pakistan in the early hours of Tuesday, marking the fifth seismic event reported in the country in less than a month, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).
According to details shared by the NCS on X, the earthquake occurred at 1:21 am IST. The tremor was recorded at a latitude of 25.48 degrees North and a longitude of 66.69 degrees East, with its epicentre located in Pakistan.
"EQ of M: 4.8, On: 16/12/2025 01:21:00 IST, Lat: 25.48 N, Long: 66.69 E, Depth: 10 km, Location: Pakistan," the NCS said in its post.
An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 struck Afghanistan early on Monday, according to the National Centre for Seismology.
The tremor was recorded at 6:10 am at a depth of 22 km, with its epicentre located at latitude 36.71 degrees north and longitude 71.58 degrees east. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage. (ANI)
