Labourer killed, 6 others injured as dug-up mud falls on them in MP's Jabalpur

A labourer was killed at a construction site when he was buried alive under the dug-up mud at a construction site in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur on Saturday afternoon.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], October 7 (ANI): A labourer was killed at a construction site when he was buried alive under the dug-up mud at a construction site in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur on Saturday, the police said.
He along with six others was digging the earth at Shivaji Chowk area when the incident took place. The other six labourers were also injured in the incident at around 3:30 pm, they said.
CSP Ritesh Kumar Shiv said, "The workers were engaged at a flyover construction site near Shivaji Chowk. They had dug up a pit and were working inside it when a portion of the earth collapsed and the dug-up mud kept around the pit fell on them."
He said that one of the labourers was buried alive, while six others sustained injuries in the incident.
"Those injured have been admitted to the pital">hospital, and are said to be out of danger," CSP Shiv said while adding that all the labourers are male and their identities are being ascertained.
We are further looking into the incident and action will be taken accordingly, he added. (ANI)
