Kerala: CISF nabs passenger in possession of foreign currency worth Rs 7 lakh

Kochi (Kerala) [India] Nov 12 (ANI): Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Tuesday apprehended a passenger carrying foreign currency worth seven lakhs and demonetized banknotes worth Rs 4,500 at Cochin Airport.

Kochi (Kerala) [India] Nov 12 (ANI): Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Tuesday apprehended a passenger carrying foreign currency worth seven lakhs and demonetized banknotes worth Rs 4,500 at Cochin Airport.
The passenger, identified as Thomas Varghese, was found in possession of foreign currency worth Rs 7 lakhs.
The apprehended passenger was carrying foreign currency notes (worth Rs 7 lakhs) and demonetized Rs 500 banknotes (worth Rs 4,500).
The passenger was handed over to the Customs Department at the airport for further investigation. (ANI)
