New Delhi (India), March 13 (ANI): Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta said that the BJP will demand Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) to take strict action against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly violating Model Code of Conduct by "calling Election Commission an offshoot of BJP".
"Kejriwal made insulting insinuation through twitter against the constitutional office of Election Commission by calling it an offshoot of BJP," said Vijender Gupta.
"The letter of AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh to CEC today is a bundle of lies wherein he has alleged that Election Commission is working at the behest of BJP.  It is AAP’s political conspiracy to defame and threaten election and police officials," said Gupta.
"Kejriwal and his party are openly flouting the code of conduct by misguiding and misinforming the public, by calling them and telling that their names have been deleted from voters list and that Kejriwal will help them in the regard," he added. (ANI)
