Karnataka: Stones pelted at BJP MLA's residence, CM orders probe

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam on March 13-14 March. During the visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, lay foundation stones, perform Bhoomi Poojan and flag off multiple development projects worth more than Rs 47,600 crore across Kokrajhar, Guwahati and Silchar.

Marking a significant step in the development of Sabarkantha district, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel today inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 1,999 development works worth around Rs 72 crore from Navalpur village in Talod taluka.

According to an official release, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu laid foundation stones of Rs152 crore which include Rs 53.40 crore implementation of Smart Grid Technologies in Nahan town, Rs 43.66 crore implementation of Smart Grid Technologies in Poanta Sahib town in Sirmaur district, Rs 16.04 crore Bheron to Adi Badri road, etc.

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Sunday said insulting the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, is nothing short of an affront to the Constitution itself, stating that the office of the President symbolizes the sovereignty, unity and dignity of the Republic and stands above all political considerations.

India took a pioneering step in inland waterway navigation as Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW), Sarbananda Sonowal, laid the foundation stones for four river lighthouses along the banks of the Brahmaputra River, marking the first time lighthouse infrastructure will be established on an inland waterway in the country.
