Karnataka government transfers four IPS officers

The Karnataka government transferred four Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, a notification from the state government said on Wednesday.

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 8 (ANI): The Karnataka government transferred four Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, a notification from the state government said on Wednesday.
Alok Kumar, who was serving as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Traffic and Road Safety, Bengaluru.
"Sri Alok Kumar, IPS (KN: 1994), Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Bengaluru is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Additional Director General of Police, Traffic and Road Safety, Bengaluru in the upgraded vacant post," the order reads.
R Hitendra is the new Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Law and Order.
"Sri R Hithendra, IPS (KN: 1996), Additional Director General of Police, Crimes & Technical Services, Bengaluru is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Bengaluru vice Sri Alok Kumar, IPS transferred," it further said.
The state government also transferred Umesh Kumar ADGP, Administration and posted him as ADGP, Crime and Technical Services, Bengaluru.
The notification further stated, "Sri Umesh Kumar, IPS (KN: 1995), Additional Director General of Police, Administration, Bengaluru is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Additional Director General of Police, Crimes and Technical Services, Bengaluru vice Sri R Hithendra, JPS transferred."
Moreover, Soumendu Mukherjee serving as ADGP, Police Computer Wing, has been transferred and posted as ADGP, Administration.
"Sri. Soumendu Mukherjee, IPS (KN: 1998), Additional Director General of Police, Police Computer Wing, Bengaluru is transferred with immediate effect and posted until further orders as Additional Director General of Police, Administration, Bengaluru Vice Sri Umesh Kumar, IPS transferred," the notification stated.
