Karnataka by-polls: Voting underway in Hangal Assembly constituency

The Rohini District court has issued a notice on an election petition challenging the result of the MCD bye poll on the Ashok Vihar ward seat. This petition has been filed by the Aam Admi Party (AAP) candidate Seema Goyal against Veena Asija. Asija was declared winner in the Bye poll.

The bypolls for 12 vacant wards in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) recorded a voter turnout of 5.40 per cent till 9:30 am on Sunday, the State Election Commission, NCT of Delhi, said.

A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of 108 bottles of whisky, which were labelled "For Sale in Haryana Only."
