Karnataka: 25 dead after bus falls into canal

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India] (ANI): At least 25 people were killed after a bus plunged into VC Canal in Mandya district of Karnataka on Saturday.

Bus fell into VC Canal

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India] (ANI): At least 25 people were killed after a bus plunged into VC Canal in Mandya district of Karnataka on Saturday.
As many as 35 people were travelling in the bus that was going to Shivalli from Mandya.
The fire department is carrying out rescue operation and scanning the area for injured people. So far, only three people have been rescued.
The bodies of the deceased people are being shifted to VIMS hospital in Mandya.
Taking stock of the situation, Karnataka Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy has canceled all his programmes and rushed to the accident spot.
"25 people have died. I believe the driver was not driving properly, I will find out," affirmed Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara. (ANI)
