Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], July 21 (ANI): The Bharat Rashtra Samithi said that the Medigadda Barrage has been filled with water in the recent monsoon, despite the Congress' claim that it has completely collapsed.
In a post on X, the BRS said that the Medigadda barrage of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project is said to be full of water due to the recent monsoon in Telangana. Medigadda is one of the three barrages of the Kaleshwaram project.
The BRS party also shared a video of the Medigadda barrage full of water. They wrote, "The Kaleswaram project that stood up against the conspiracies of the Congress... the Medigadda barrage is filled with water!"
"Despite months of negative propaganda by the Congress party and hundreds of YouTube channels claiming that the Medigadda Barrage had completely collapsed and that the Kaleshwaram project had been washed away, millions of cusecs of floodwater are now flowing at Medigadda, washing away their falsehoods," they added.
"No matter how many conspiracies those who can't bear to see the growth of Telangana make, the Kaleshwaram project will always remain the lifeline and vibrant water source for the state," the party said.
"Whoever tries to tarnish the Kaleshwaram project out of spite for KCR will surely remain insignificant in history. Jai Telangana," it added.
Earlier, a major issue arose in Telangana when it was reported that a few pillars of the Medigadda barrage were damaged. A political controversy had also erupted in this issue and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also visited the barrage. (ANI)
