Justice Patnaik to head panel for reviewing cases on Naxals in Chhattisgarh

New Delhi (India) Mar 7 (ANI): Former Supreme Court Judge A K Patnaik on Thursday agreed to head the panel to review Naxal related cases.
Speaking to ANI, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel said, "Justice Patnaik has agreed to head the review committee in the cases and after his recommendation, the government will consider its report. Our government is of the view that people who are booked wrongly shall not be prosecuted."
In a bid to fast track cases a plan to review cases of Naxal in the state, the Congress party has decided to review all such cases before the general elections.
With the Lok Sabha polls round the corner, Congress who is eyeing all the 11 seats is making this a big issue. Last year, it won in the state under the leadership of Bhupesh Bhagel. (ANI)
