Judicial custody of AAP MLAs extended by 14 days

New Delhi [India] March 8 (ANI): A Delhi Court on Thursday extended judicial custody of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs Amanatullah Khan and Prakash Jarwal by 14 days.

Khan and Jarwal are in judicial custody in connection with an alleged assault on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.

Khan and Jarwal were on February 22 sent to 14 days judicial custody by a Delhi court.

The bail plea of both the MLAs was rejected by the court on February 23.

Both the AAP MLAs were named in an FIR lodged by the Delhi Chief Secretary. They were arrested by the Delhi police last month.

On February 20, the Chief Secretary had lodged a police complaint and alleged that he was manhandled at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence by the two lawmakers.

The Chief Secretary alleged that he was attacked in the presence of Kejriwal, after being summoned to discuss Aadhaar-related problems. (ANI)
