JKCA organises talent hunt cricket tourney in Leh

Leh (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct 15 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) recently organised talent hunt cricket tournaments in every district of the state with an aim to get best cricketers at national and international level.

Leh (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Oct 15 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) recently organised talent hunt cricket tournaments in every district of the state with an aim to get best cricketers at national and international level.
Around 10 teams from Leh took part in the initiative, whose final match took place on Sundayat NDS Cricket Ground between Tip Top club and JKP team. The Tip Top team won the match by six wickets.
Speaking to ANI, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Sayeed Ashiq Hussain Bhukhari said that the JKCA initiated a talent hunt tournament for the first time with the sole purpose to give equal opportunity to every young players of the state.
"Over 50,000 young cricketers from all over the state have exhibited their talent," the CEO said, adding that holding of such tournament in Ladakh would give equal opportunity to the Ladakhi cricketers.
Skalzang Dorjay, one of the players who took part in this cricket tournament, said that such an event would pave a way for them for international cricket.
"We will try out best in future. We are happy that we got this chance to play at this level," he said.
Vice Chairman District Sports Council LehGyal P Wangyal lauded the initiatives of JKCA and extended his gratitude for organising talent hunt cricket tournament in Leh. (ANI)
