J&K: Protest against Municipal Corporation for dumping garbage near Tawi river

Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 20 (ANI): A massive protest was held by Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) members on Monday against the Municipal Corporation here for dumping garbage alongside the road near river Tawi.

Udhampur (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 20 (ANI): A massive protest was held by Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) members on Monday against the Municipal Corporation here for dumping garbage alongside the road near Tawi.
Former MLA from Udhampur and JKNPP State president Balwant Singh Mankotia said, "The garbage slowly reach into the Tawi river and give birth to many diseases as the filter plant supplying the drinking water is not able to clean the water because of the pollution caused by dumping of garbage."
He further said, "If the dumping of the garbage did not stop then they will launch a strong agitation the Municipal Corporation." (ANI)
