"...Jija aayog" RJD's Tejashwi Yadav takes another potshot at "family politics" of Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Govt

Patna (Bihar) [India], June 17 (ANI): RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Tuesday took another potshot at the chief minister Nitish Kumar-led Bihar Government whom he accused of giving prime positions to relatives of NDA leaders and suggested the constitution of a separate 'Jamai Aayog' (a brothers-in-law commission) to appease the relatives of NDA leaders.
Recently, Tejashwi had taken a dig at the Chief Minister, alleging that the Bihar Government had given prime positions to sons-in-law of NDA leaders. The RJD leader called for the formation of a 'Jamai aayog' (sons-in-law commission) to highlight the family politics promoted by Nitish Kumar.
Speaking to reporters here, Tejashwi spoke about the civilian award bestowed by Cyprus on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "He is the Prime Minister of India. Maybe that's why he is getting the honour. But let's talk about the real situation in the country, there's unemployment, poverty, and rising prices. The government hasn't done much except distribute free rations. But what about people's homes, jobs, education, and healthcare?"
"Modi keeps talking against 'family politics', but he should come and see what's happening in Bihar. We had earlier asked for a Special Arrangement Commission. There should be Jamai Aayog, but now, there should also be a jija aayog (Brothers-in-law Commission) too. So many relatives are being given positions. Officers are helping their relatives adjust to the system. The Prime Minister ignores this. Whenever PM Modi visits Bihar, he only criticises us. But he never questions what's happening in his own alliance. There is an RSS quota. Can the Chief Minister tell us how many ministers are from the RSS? In Bihar, people who lost elections are still made ministers. Some even got the post after their term ended. These same people now lecture us," Tejashwi said.
The RJD leader alleged that the Bihar government had lost control, with leaders doing as they pleased and looting the State.
"Everything is being done based on connections, daughter from one quota, son-in-law from another. A "Brothers-in-law Commission" should be formed quickly. The Chief Minister is not in control. And people in his party are happy about this and doing whatever they want. They are looting Bihar," Yadav said. (ANI)
