JDS-BSP to contest K'Taka polls together

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], Feb 8 (ANI): The Janata Dal Secular (JDS) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will be contesting the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections together.

JDS-BSP to contest K'Taka polls together

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], Feb 8 (ANI): The Janata Dal Secular (JDS) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) will be contesting the upcoming Karnataka Assembly elections together.

Out of the 224 Assembly seats, BSP will be given 20 seats to contest the polls.

"I am happy to inform that the BSP has decided to form an alliance JDS for the first time. We will fight the Karnataka assembly elections together," said JDS leader Danish Ali while addressing the media.

Danish Ali further announced that this alliance would continue in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections as well.

The Chief Ministerial candidate of JDS and BSP alliance will be H. D. Kumaraswamy.

The Karnataka Assembly elections will be held in the first quarter of this year. (ANI)
